In modern offshore crude oil development, the transfer of crude oil between floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) units and shuttle tankers is very risky operational phase. Tanker rail floating hose plays an irreplaceable role as key equipment for connecting oil tankers.
This hose is designed specifically for extreme marine environments and is widely used in tandem unloading configurations of FPSOs and FSOs, as well as highly integrated surface facilities such as CALM and SALM. It is typically connected to the tanker's manifold interface, and with their excellent flexibility and resistance to wind and waves, ensuring the smooth and safe transport of crude oil under dynamic sea conditions.
These hoses offer a variety of technical options to meet different operational needs:
1. Structure and safety
CDSR oil hoses are available in both single carcass and double carcass configurations. The double carcass hose integrates a robust and reliable leak detection system. By connecting or embedding a leak detector in double carcass hose, operators can monitor the hose's status in real time. In the event of a leak in the primary carcass, the system will issue a warning signal via color indicators or other means to remind operators to take immediate action, greatly reducing the risk of marine pollution.
2. Core performance parameters
In terms of pressure resistance, common rated working pressures include 15 bar, 19 bar and 21 bar, and higher pressure ratings can also be provided according to customer requirements. The diameter of the hose typically ranges from 150mm to 600mm, with standard lengths ranging from 9.1m to 10.7m. Furthermore, non-standard lengths can be provided according to project requirements to adapt to the geometric layout of different platforms and ships. The flexible and bending radius design takes into account mooring motion, wave loads, and joint stress, reducing the risk of fatigue damage to the hose.
3. Antistatic design and environmental tolerance
CDSR hoses can be configured with electrical discontinuity to meet the antistatic and fire safety requirements for offshore oil transportation. We can also customize continuous or segmented grounding solutions according to customer requirements to ensure effective discharge of static electricity during oil flow and mechanical friction, thereby reducing the risk of ignition. In addition, high-quality rubber materials are resistant to ozone, salt water and aromatic hydrocarbons, ensuring stable operation in a range of temperatures from -20℃ to 82℃.
Throughout the design and manufacturing process, CDSR strictly adheres to international and regional standards and incorporates engineering optimizations based on on-site conditions to ensure that every hose meets engineering safety and environmental protection standards throughout its service life. We employ an accredited quality management system and a traceable material inspection process. All production batches are accompanied by complete inspection reports, material certificates, and factory test records.
Before delivery, the hose will undergo FATs such as hydrostatic pressure test, vacuum test, electrical test, etc., and third-party inspections by DNV, ABS, etc. can be arranged according to project requirements.
