The Ship maintains their position in the water by being connected to floating facilities or anchor points at sea via anchor chains, cables, etc. The main forms include Single Point Mooring (SPM) and Multi Point Mooring. The ship is brought directly to and secured to a fixed shore dock, and then tied to mooring bollards with cables.
